    Simon Cowell visited a small business in the Cotswolds this week with Lauren and Eric. Simon was happy to stand and chat with staff and customers at the shop while Eric chose a milkshake, he posed for selfies with the staff of Tickittyshake in the village. Simon has reportedly bought a house close to the village so could be a regular at the shop. Eric chose the vanilla and marshmallow shake which was offered for free, but Simon insisted he paid for it thanking them for the kind offer.. "He was super polite, super patient and super lovely," said Katie Henderson, who was working in the shop at the time."He is pretty intimidating on his shows but he wasn't like that at all. Although he could have had the milkshake for free he insisted on paying, which was really appreciated. I think he understood we are a small business and wanted to support us." "Simon asked a lot of questions about the business and seemed really interested in our smoothies" said Katie. "Eric was really polite and ordered everything himself. But he was also like any other little boy and really interested in the sweets, the chocolate and the shakes." Julia Cook, owner of Tickittyshake and neighbouring children’s boutique Tickittyboo, was really impressed with the way Simon, who has a reputation for being a harsh critic, seemed very supportive of local businesses.

    Simon Cowell will reportedly relaunch the X Factor on our screens next year after a five year break. After securing a big-money deal with a production company, Simon is now set to talk to different television channels about its return. An industry source told The Star newspaper: “It has been decided that the time is right to bring X Factor back. It’s really exciting. Everyone who will be working on the new series can’t wait to get started.” “Things are in the early stages at the moment. But the wheels are definitely in motion. It is hoped that production will begin at the end of the year.” They are hoping to take the show back to basics like it was in the early days. The source added: "Producers want to recapture the magic the show had when it was first on TV." Whether it will be shown on ITV is yet to be decided, Simon will talk to other channels in the coming months.

  • The Britain's Got Talent wildcard revealed

    Last night the judges chose a wildcard to go through to the Britain's Got Talent Final on Sunday. Firstly here is a reminder of who is already through: Maxwell Thorpe – 32 from Sheffield. Maxwell sailed through to the final on public vote after a powerful performance of Nelle Tue Mani (Now We Are Free) from the film Gladiator. Jamie Leahey – 13 from St. Helens, Merseyside. Jamie wowed the judges with a brilliant ventriloquism routine, with his partner in crime, Chuck the chicken. Simon took the decision to a public vote, resulting in Jamie going through on Monday night. Ben Nickless – 40 from Lancashire. Ben’s uncanny impersonations of famous faces and characters helped propel him through to the final round, getting the most votes from the public on Tuesday. Flintz & T4ylor - Rapper and pianist duo Flintz (22 from Croydon) and T4ylor (17 from Birmingham) performed a moving original song, Pressure. They got through on the judges’ vote. Tom Ball – 24, from West Sussex. Tom’s version of Rise Like a Phoenix tore the roof off the Eventim Apollo on Wednesday night and was the most voted for act on Wednesday. Eva Abley – 14, from West Midlands. Eva’s stand-up routine took aim at Simon Cowell, who along with the other judges, praised her incredible performance and helped get her through to the final. Loren Allred – 32, from New York. Loren’s stunning performance of You Say by Lauren Daigle wowed the judges and audiences alike, getting the most public votes on Thursday night 5 Star Boys – 10-12 from across the UK. The boys put on a fantastically colourful routine to a version of This Is Me and were the judges’ choice. Axel Blake – 33 from West London. Simon’s golden buzzer act Axel performed a hilarious comedy routine, sent him straight through to the final on public vote Aneeshwar Kunchala – 7 from Warrington. Aneeshwar’s inspiring poem on wildlife conservation got him through to the final via the judges’ vote. For the WILDCARD, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Williams chose Amber and her Dancing Collies. The live final of Britain's Got Talent starts on Sunday at 7.30pm on ITV

Kseniya will perform a moving performance involving sand animation which will be accompanied by Emeli’s single Brighter Days.     Simon Cowell is engaged to his long-term girlfriend Lauren Silverman after proposing in Barbados over Christmas. Speculation mounted that the wedding will take place next month after a 'source' told a newspaper they were getting married in June, Talking to ET Canada before joining the judges on the Canada's Got Talent final, Simon has set the record straight "I keep reading that I am going to get married next week, next month. It's news to me." He further stated: "We haven't put a date on it." Simon added, that the speculation has made him laugh though as it has concerned his friends, who fear they have been left off the guest list. "People have been calling and asking why they're not invited to the wedding - Because we haven't planned it yet!" Simon has previously indicated he is planning the wedding, saying, “I am planning it all, otherwise I know what will happen — there will be 600 people and it’ll get out of control like my 50th birthday party. “No one knows when it’s going to be — that’ll be a surprise, even for Lauren. “But I don’t want to have one of these ghastly wedding planners and all the arguments that happen, and who you do invite and who you don’t invite. Simon is currently filming America's Got Talent in Los Angeles and will be back on our screens next weekend for Britain's Got Talent.

Sources close to Simon told The Mirror he has vowed to slow down and no longer wants to work full time. The pandemic and his back injury has made him rethink his workload while wanting to spend more time with his family. Simon will still appear on television, but isn't interested in getting so hands on in the production of the shows.. Earlier this year Simon closed his Syco company offices here and in the US to focus on family life.     Simon Cowell tells of his sadness on the passing of Jane Marczewski 'Nightbirde". Who lost her battle with cancer. last week. Talking to Extra's Terri Seymour, he said “That was tough. It really, really was. You always pray in a situation like that that something is going to happen… She came to my house last year… We were talking about her music… She was so determined to beat this illness… When she left, I was just thinking, God, I really really hope she is gonna get through this… So unfair… It hit all of us really hard.” Simon also spoke about his run of bad luck saying “In one week, I broke my wrist, tooth fell out because I was eating peanut brittle, a day after that, I tested positive for COVID.” Lauren also is recovering from Covid. When asked about breaking his wrist which is still in plaster after coming off his bike, Simon said “I was riding my bike… I went around a corner too fast. That was it, knocked myself out. There were some people nearby, thank God, so they stopped the traffic… I was in a bit of a daze… I got back on my bike and drove one-armed back to the house. That’s how nutty I was.” Simon had dinner with his son Eric before going the hospital. When Eric asked him whether he was wearing a helmet, Simon said, “I went, ‘Of course I was.’ He went, ‘You weren’t, were you?’ I said, ‘I was,’ He said, ‘Okay, pinkie, and we never break a pinkie.’ I was like, ‘Okay, I wasn’t,’ and I got the biggest telling off… That was the worst part of it.”
