Simon Cowell is engaged to his long-term girlfriend Lauren Silverman after proposing in Barbados over Christmas.
Speculation mounted that the wedding will take place next month after a 'source' told a newspaper they were getting married in June,
Talking to ET Canada before joining the judges on the Canada's Got Talent final, Simon has set the record straight "I keep reading that I am going to get married next week, next month. It's news to me." He further stated: "We haven't put a date on it."
Simon added, that the speculation has made him laugh though as it has concerned his friends, who fear they have been left off the guest list.
"People have been calling and asking why they're not invited to the wedding - Because we haven't planned it yet!"
Simon has previously indicated he is planning the wedding, saying, “I am planning it all, otherwise I know what will happen — there will be 600 people and it’ll get out of control like my 50th birthday party.
“No one knows when it’s going to be — that’ll be a surprise, even for Lauren.
“But I don’t want to have one of these ghastly wedding planners and all the arguments that happen, and who you do invite and who you don’t invite. The whole thing just seems like too much hassle.”
