Louis Walsh is reportedly set for a return to The X Factor in a bid to bring back the older viewers.
Louis, sacked from the ITV show last year, has flown to LA for talks with Simon Cowell.
He is set to replace Nick Grimshaw, who announced last month he wasn't returning.
A show source told The Sun newspaper: “Simon didn’t really want Louis to go in the first place. “He’s doing all he can to sign him for the next series.
Louis is up for it. Simon wants an older person back after admitting last year’s series was too youthful, which might have made more people go to Strictly.”
Is Louis the right choice to bring back the older viewer or would an icon from the 70's or 80's be a better choice?
