Simon Cowell is reportedly holding the auditions for the Celebrity version of X Factor in LA at his mansion, Whether it will be at his Beverly Hills mansion or his newer one in Malibu is not yet known.
The move is designed to give the series “extra glamour” and make it even more exciting for viewers.
A show source told The Star newspaper: “Production for the series is now in the early stages and decisions are being made about potential changes.
“Producers think this would make the series extra glitzy, which seems appropriate given the contestants will be celebs.
“Viewers are used to seeing auditions being held in British cities. So having it against the backdrop of the LA sunshine would make things feel fresh and exciting.”
This will add expenses to the audition process but it is felt the extra glamour will be worth it. A lot will depend on whether the celebrities will be available to fly out there in July when the auditions are expected to take place.
“There is a lot for producers to consider. No final decision has been made, but a lot of the top execs are really hoping to do this.”
In other X Factor news rumours are circulating about who will appear in the All Stars version also due to screen this year.
Some of the names being put forward include Leona Lewis, Shane Ward, Rhydian Roberts, Diana Vickers, Jedward, James Arthur, Wagner, Honey G, Katie Waissel, Christopher Maloney and Sam Bailey.
It is unlikely we will see Little Mix, One Direction or Olly Murs which is a shame as they were some of the biggest names to come out of the show..
