Simon Cowell and Louis Tomlinson have mutually parted ways as Louis leaves Simon's record label Syco music.
Taking to Twitter, Louis made this surprise announcement:
Hope everyone is doing ok! Just wanted to let you know that Syco Music and I have agreed to part ways. I'm really excited for the future and to be back in the studio writing the next album. Can't wait to finally see you all on tour!! Stay safe and see you soon, Louis x
Louis was the only member of One Direction to sign up to Syco, signing with the record label in 2017.
`Louis released four solo singles since One Direction announced its hiatus in 2015. His latest album 'Walls', was released earlier this year.
Simon Cowell and Louis have always had a close relationship so this split must be difficult for both. Simon chose Louis to help him at his X Factor judges houses and later gave him a seat as a judge on the show.
