Simon Cowell admits the judges' house live shows were shambolic and says he will make sure the show is right before the live shows.
Simon had just flown in from Los Angeles and was surprised at what he walked into.
Branding the episode “horrific” he insisted he knew nothing about the decision to make the acts “beg” for survival.
He pledged: “As far as this week goes, it’s back to basics. Last weekend I was like, ‘Woah’. It was too crazy.
Talking to the Daily Mirror Simon said: “I had just been back a day from America and was jet-lagged. I walked on to the show and hadn’t a clue what was going on half the time.
“Then I realised, ‘Oh my God, they’ve been asked to beg – I can’t do this’. So we stopped it on day two."
“Uncomfortable? It was horrific, so that’s scrapped 100%. It was shambolic."
“It certainly gave me a kick up the a*** and made me look at this week.”
He went on: “I don’t know whose decision it was and I’m not blaming anyone. It just wasn’t right. The groups went up and suddenly were like begging.
“I said, ‘Look, I had no idea this was going on but please don’t beg – just make a clear point why you should be there’. Then at the end of the show I said, ‘We can’t do that’.”
Simon also said his girlfriend Lauren Silverman wasn't happy about Bupsi gyrating in front of him, saying she has since been keeping an eye on him.“I don’t think she was thrilled about that,” he said. “She was at Judge’s Houses closely watching the monitors.”
