Simon Cowell Set To Shake Up X Factor With MAJOR Changes

Every year we hear of changes to the X Factor, this year is set to see the biggest yet in the way we view the show.

Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger - as well as presenter Dermot O'Leary are all confirmed as back on the show

Live shows have historically been held over 10 weeks. In a bid to boost the ratings Simon Cowell will reportedly cut the live shows to 6 weeks.

The performance-only Saturday episodes, which got low ratings, will be axed.

Contestants will now be voted off on both Saturdays and Sundays, and star guest artists will perform both nights.

Simon will also hold auditions at Thorpe Park in the hope that fun theme park footage will win viewers.

Simon will discourage novelty acts like Honey G. The rapper came fifth last year as audience figures hit an all-time low.

An X Factor source told The Sun: “Ratings plummeted and Simon knew a drastic revamp was needed.

“The Saturday night show became so tedious as there was rarely any drama which an eviction would bring.

“ITV believes transforming it is the right decision. It means all singers will perform on both Saturday and Sunday evenings, with acts being eliminated both nights.

“They are doing the Thorpe Park auditions early on, too, because producers think the unconventional location will create some funny footage.
