Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon arrive on the red carpet at the Empire Theatre in Liverpool for the first round of Britain's Got Talent Audtions.

Simon then became the fifth Beatle as he stood among the colourful tribute to the city's most famous sons.
The fun took place on a huge Union Jack carpet surrounded by scores of amused fans, who took plenty of pictures on their phones.
