Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda are reportedly close to signing a £10million contract to join the X Factor judging panel.
Robbie and Ayda will be the first married couple to judge the show which returns in August.
A source close to the show told the Daily Mirror: Producers are “over the moon” to have landed the pair, who replace departing judges Louis Walsh, and Nicole Scherzinger.
Ayda, 39, is a regular guest presenter on Loose Women. Born in California, she is better known to the American audience for her role on US soap Days of Our Lives.
One source said: “She thinks doing the show with Robbie will be a lot of fun – particularly as she wants to beat her husband at his own game. She can’t wait to get started.”
Ayda is close to Simon’s girlfriend Lauren Silverman while their children Teddy and Charlie are friends with Eric Cowell.
Ayda also interviewed Simon Cowell for Loose Women last month.
