Louis Walsh confirmed he could return to the X Factor panel as long as the rest of the panel fits his requirements.
Louis was let go from the ITV show last year to make way for Radio 1 breakfast DJ Nick Grimshaw , but after he ruled himself out of returning for another stint, Louis has confirmed he wants to come back.
"Simon's already said he wishes he hadn't let me go," he told Closer. "He wanted to bring me back in the middle of the last series, but I thought it'd be odd with five judges.
"I wouldn't go back unless it was the right people."
Describing his ideal line-up as himself, Sharon Osbourne , Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell , he went on to launch a blistering attack on Cheryl.
"She's lost a bit of energy," he told the magazine. "She should go away, make a record and maybe have another hit."
The manager also offered his thoughts on what went wrong with the show, saying the show 'went off the boil' last year," he added: "Simon tweaked it too much - like his face.
"He needs to bring back the old X Factor, have the auditions in a small room. People loved that, it was intimate and revealing."
It looks like the wars have started without even a single judges announcement!
