Lauren Silverman stepped out for the first time after her engagement to Simon Cowell was announced in Malibu wearing a huge ring.
Simon surprised Lauren with a proposal in Barbados on Christmas Eve in front of their seven-year-old son, Eric, and Lauren's son Adam, from her first marriage, It was important to Simon that the kids were there too, as he adores them both and the family they’ve become.
The source told an American magazine: 'They have fun together, as well as being each other's rock. They are both passionate but really do bring out the very best in each other. As a family, they all have such an incredible bond.
'A lot of things have happened in the last few years and just like for everyone else in the world, these things have all been a reminder about what is precious to them'.
Simon and Lauren will fly back to the UK this week for the Britain's Got Talent auditions starting this weekend.
