Britain's Got Talent returns to our screens in August

The one we have been waiting for! Britain's Got Talent returns this month with a recap and the judges deliberation.

The first show was filmed prior to the Coronavirus lockdown, so Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams will all appear.

The Golden Buzzer acts automatically go through to the live shows, to give you a reminder:

David Walliams chose Sign Along with Us - The children's choir

Ant and Dec gave theirs to comedy singer Jon Courtenay

Amanda Holden chose mother and daughter duo Honey and Sammy for her Golden Buzzer.

Alesha Dixon chose the comedian Nabil Abdulrashid

Simon Cowell pressed his Golden Buzzer for the talented young singer Fayth Ifil.

The live shows will be pre-recorded with the acts performing virtually on a screen.

The audience will be a virtual one, if they do it like America's Got Talent which is filming at the moment, there will be a giant screen behind the judges showing chosen audience members.

You can apply to be part of the BGT virtual audience through Applause Store.

Simon Cowell will not be able to make the live shows in person as he is in America, However, we do expect him to appear via a video link.

Britain's Got Talent returns on Sunday 30th August - the semi finals are expected to follow shortly afterwards.

Simon is expecting to return to the UK to shoot a BGT special in October, alongside fellow judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and David Walliams. This however will depend on his recovery and COVID restrictions flying from the US to the UK.
