Last night saw the grand finale of America's Got Talent where the amazing Grace Vanderwaal wins a $1million prize and a headline show in Las Vegas this October.
Simon said: "I saw Grace’s reaction and it was amazing It was such a wonderful thing and I knew the public had chosen the right winner."
"I genuinely didn't know the result so I really didn't know what was going to happen. It was like a fairytale. I think she is going to encourage the next generation of singers, I really believe that."
