Fleur East has signed with Syco Music, it is announced today.
Fleur – who was mentored by Simon Cowell on The X Factor - says: “It means so much to be able to have the support and backing of such an amazing label as Syco. I’m so excited to finally have a platform to showcase my music”.
Simon Cowell says: “I am very happy to announce that Fleur East has signed to Syco Music. Fleur proved what a star she was on the show last year and we now look forward to starting work on her record.”

Fleur, whose performance of ‘Uptown Funk’ went to No1 on iTunes within 24 hours of her performing it on the X Factor, is one of the UK’s most exciting new stars. Combining soulful vocals with a captivating, energetic stage presence, Simon Cowell named her performance of ‘Uptown Funk’ as “the greatest performance” he had ever witnessed from a contestant on the show.
Fleur joins winner Ben Haenow in signing with Syco following the final of The X Factor – which was watched by more than 10 million TV viewers.
