Kian Musgrove with a teddy bear from Simon Cowell
Last year Simon Cowell helped little Kian Musgrove receive pioneering cancer treatment in America. Simon helped pay for Kian, and his mum Kat, to fly to New York and undergo the specialist care at a cancer hospital in New York.
A thank you letter to simon is at the bottom of this post.
Kian is suffering from neuroblastoma - a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer - for the second time.
Knowing Kian had to spend Christmas and the start of the year in America, Simon decided to arrange a special surprise for when the five-year-old finally returned to the UK.
Speaking to a local newspaper, Kian's mum Kat said: "Because we spent Christmas and a lot of the new year in New York, we didn’t realise that Simon had bought all of these lovely things.“
Kian couldn’t believe it when all the boxes arrived, his little face lit up.“Inside the parcels there was a note from Simon, wishing Kian a belated Happy Christmas.”
A special delivery was made to Kian’s Tyneside home as he returned from America following pioneering cancer treatment as efforts are made to rid his body of neuroblastoma an aggressive form of cancer.

Thank You for Everything!
I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Simon Cowell (and his team) for all the help he has given Kian, Katie and I. Simon has made such a huge, generous and significant contribution helping to save my Son’s life.
There aren’t words to describe how eternally grateful we are. Simon helped towards treatment costs, accommodation expenses, flights ensuring we travelled in comfort when facing the most challenging time of our lives.
I don’t know what we would have done without him.
