The X Factor final usually takes place just before Christmas, often causing. a clash with the final of Strictly Come Dancing.
This year Simon Cowell wants to bring the X Factor final forward to early December to avoid competing with Strictly.
X Factor insiders told The Sun newspaper "This year’s shift reflected show restructuring and was not a bid to save face in the ratings."
“This year X Factor will air on Saturdays and Sundays from the start .We’ll have more pre-recorded shows, but fewer live shows, so the series will air for fewer weeks than before.."
“It looks likely that the final will be in early December.”
