The 2015 series of Britain's Got Talent has seen the nation's favourite entertainment series score huge audience shares, achieving the highest share of viewing to the auditions since the 2009 series which discovered Susan Boyle.
Last night's episode was the highest rating show on TV, seeing off strong competition from the Eurovision Song Contest, bringing the auditions to a close with a peak of 8.7 million viewers tuning in to the final audition show, before Britain's Got Talent moves into live shows from next week.
Britain's Got Talent holds the record for the highest TV rating of 2015 with the 11.9 million viewers who tuned in to the third episode of the series.
The auditions stage of Britain's Got Talent has averaged a 46% share of viewing, behind only the 2009 series auditions, which averaged a 47.6% share of viewing.
In terms of audience volume, the auditions have averaged 9.743 million viewers, making Britain's Got Talent the biggest series on television in 2015.
