Simon Cowell To Take X Factor Bootcamp Back To Basics?

For the past three years bootcamp has taken place at Wembley Arena. Now Simon Cowell is said to want to spice things up by taking it back to manor house settings.

According to The Sun, he's hoping returning to luxury digs will liven up contestants and bring out their naughtier sides - and his cameramen will of course be there to film it all! "When Boot Camp used to be held at hotels and country houses, it proved to be a really great round of the competition. Inevitably, there was some really bad behaviour and people got up to no good," an X Factor source told the paper

"There was always drinking and often some of the contestants hooked up but X Factor never wanted to appear as though it encouraged that kind of thing. But there's no doubt it made for great television."Now that it's being brought back, we're certain to see a return to the wild ways of old.

"Simon famously decided to scrap holding Boot Camp at manor houses as the contestant's behaviour became increasingly out of control.Growing frustrated with the negative headlines, he decided to move this stage of the ITV1 talent show to Wembley Arena three years ago. However, now he has completely backtracked.

It is not clear whether the Six Chair Challenge - which sees each judge pick the top six acts from their categories, only to get rid of one if someone better comes along - would transfer to the new setting. But Simon's decision over Boot Camp isn't the only change for the new series of The X Factor as bosses are also hoping to film the Judges' Houses stage live. While the judging panel will see Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw joining Simon and Cheryl Fernandez-Verscini and Caroline Flack and Olly Murs taking over hosting duties from Dermot O'Leary.

Auditions start next week in Manchester before moving on to London the following week.
