Simon Cowell wants the One Direction stars to go off and do their own solo projects.
Simon is proud of the boys, but isn’t concerned if they work outside of the group.
Ever since the group got together on X Factor, people have been predicting a split, but Simon insists that he’s not stopping One Direction – Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik – for doing their own thing.
Talking at the Prince’s Trust Success Awards in London, Simon told The Sun that he’s been pushing the boys to do other things and is proud of Louis Tomlinson setting up his own entertainment company, 78 Productions Limited as well as helping Sony judge a girlband talent competition.
“We’ve said to all the boys in the group, all of you should do other things. If you want to work with me, do some stuff on your own, they should be allowed to do whatever they want,” he said.
“I love the fact that Louis wants to do something with me, but I’m doing stuff with all the boys.”
