You may tweet twice from your @ username handle. However, you can submit multiple designated hashtags as part of your tweet (subject to Twitter’s 140-character limit). Each designated hashtag will count as one vote for the corresponding contestant category and judge.

You can only vote once for any of these hashtags in your Tweet. So if the same designated hashtag is included more than once, then only one of the identical designated hashtags will be counted.

Can I vote by Retweeting?

No. Retweets will not be counted.

Do I have to tweet @TheXFactor?

Tweets do not have to be addressed to @TheXFactor to be counted.

What if I include a particular designated hashtag more than once?

If one or more identical designated hashtags are included as part of your Tweet, only one of the identical designated hashtags will be counted.

What if I misspell a hashtag?

Votes will not be accepted where hashtags are misspelt, abbreviated, lengthened or differ in any way from the designated hashtags announced in the Programme. You must leave a space between each hashtag for them to be recognised and counted.

Do I need to include a space between my hashtags?

If multiple designated hashtags are included as part of your Tweet, a space must be included between each designated hashtag. If no space is included, the designated hashtags that are not correctly spaced will not be counted as votes.

When will the vote open & close?

Voting will open as announced at the end of the show on Sunday 22nd November 2015. Voting will close at midnight on Sunday 22nd November 2015. Votes received outside the specified opening and closing times for the vote will not be counted.
