Baffled Simon Cowell is left holding girlfriend Lauren Silverman's clutch at ITV Gala held at the London Palladium tonight.
Simon was upstaged by girlfriend Lauren Silverman as she stepped up to the limelight in a black gown, asking her other half to protect her accessory while she was ushered before the photographers.
Luckily Simon seemed to see the funny side of being lumbered with Lauren's handbag.
